Save Fuel Making Hot Water For The Summer With a Simple Furnace Control Adjustment by Walt Barrett

Most oil or gas fired boilers are set to make 180° F hot water because of the heating system. In the summer this high temperature is not needed. Dish washers make their own 180° hot water, and showers and laundry have no need to be that hot. If you turn down the hot water control you can save a lot of fuel during the warm months. If you don;t know how, play it safe and hire someone who does.
